As we consider a society that is in the process of having conversations  around social health and outcomes, our younger generation is in desperate need to have the opportunity to be a voice in our community. Trauma induced situations have created a barrier to language and support for the young person interested in being a part of the solution to the ills of our world. We are in desperate need of sharing the responsibility of leadership and highlighting the importance of succession and training.

The Legacy Initiative has a desire to create a leadership training process that consists of clear mentorship, innovation, creativity, and personal development elements that assist in enhancing the capacity of our young people. We want to release the leadership potential from within. We hope that through the implementation of our leadership development process, young men will have the opportunity to:

Assume local leadership roles
Understand their profile of leadership
Volunteer in the community
Create community influenced initiatives
Become analytical thinkers
Become practitioners of equity, inclusion, and diversity
Solve real life socioeconomic problems that exist within their community
Partner with strategic organizations to gain access to data
Become advocates and pioneers of change
