Please allow at least a week for our volunteer coordinator to process your application and connect with you to discuss currently available volunteer opportunities that may work with your schedule.

Groups: our volunteer coordinator will begin by connect with the group contact person. Please note: we have limited group opportunities for groups larger than 6 people.

Community Service: participants of court-ordered community service or a diversion program are to fill out our Community Service Volunteer Form (click here).

By giving your birthday you verify that you understand that this information is required by the Central Records Division of the Michigan State Police, Lansing, Michigan and authorizes the City Rescue Mission of Lansing to use your listed information for the sole purpose of obtaining a conviction-only criminal history search. By filling in this information you consent to this background check and understand that the Mission carries no liability insurance for volunteers.

We do not keep or utilize this information for any other purpose than to fulfill the requirements to run the background check. To volunteer, we need consent to this background check.
