NKC Schools Virtual Tutor Match Program
Dear Parent or Guardian,

The YouthFriends & Senior Tax Exchange Program (STEP) connects caring adult volunteers from our community with students in our school. YouthFriend volunteers & STEP participants are mentors who support students academically. This year, YouthFriend volunteers & STEP participants will be serving as virtual tutors and mentors to student throughout the district. All volunteers are trained, interviewed and must pass a comprehensive background screening before being placed as a volunteer within the school district.

Virtual visits would connect your child with a YouthFriend volunteer or STEP participant via online platform, Microsoft Teams. These visits would only be deemed necessary as a means of connecting your child and YouthFriend or STEP volunteer to support their academics.

If your child needs extra support, our volunteers are here to help! Simply fill out the below information and a district staff member will be in touch with you regarding placement of a virtual match for your student.
