Dog Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Evanston Animal Shelter. EAS depends on responsible and caring volunteers in order to save and enrich the lives of animals in the Evanston Community.  

Please note: 

******* We currently have most shifts at capacity for volunteers.  Please do still submit your application if you feel you will be able to meet the requirements below. We will add you to a wait list and reach out when shifts do become available. *******

*  Minimum Age to Volunteer is 18 years old
*  Volunteer time commitment: 6 month dedication to one 3 hour shift a week (same shift each week)
*  Everyone starts as a trainee which means you will primarily perform dog kennel chores (i.e clean kennels, wash dishes, and mops floors) until you take a written test and advance to the next level
*  Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk 1 - 2 miles per shift

Current Dog Volunteer shifts are scheduled: 
Weekday Evenings:  6 - 9pm 
Weekend Mornings: 9am - 12pm
Weekend Evenings:  4:30 - 7:30pm
