Throop Unitarian Universalist Church, located in Pasadena, CA, is organizing a regional effort to boost voter turnout in this November's election. Inspired by the national "UU the Vote" efforts, Throop is inviting UUs from the Southern California region to join us in this campaign. We will be writing letters to potential voters in key states and districts across the country, encouraging them to go vote this coming November. We are teaming up with Vote Forward, a partner of the national UU the Vote campaign, to streamline the process.
We will meet every Thursday at 5 pm via Zoom for letter writing parties through Election Day. These gatherings will also make space to reflect on our values as UUs -- specifically highlighting the importance of our 5th UU principle in this work -- and to create connections with one another.
