GLTC 2025 Invitation:  Groove w/Kaoly on "Wa no Ichi" WED May 21st & Roots of "ELEVEN" on THU May 22nd!
You're Invited! Members of the Great Lakes Taiko Center (GLTC) Taiko Arts Collective and connected communities (e.g. regional Taiko groups and/or kaDON.com subscribers) are invited to Groove with our guest artist Kaoly Asano when she visits us in Michigan on her 2025 kaDON Midwest tour!

We welcome Kaoly-san back to our GLTC community along with Tawoo member Eriko and Emily Harada of kaDON & TaikoArts Midwest for mid-week Taiko workshop opportunities on May 21st and May 22nd. We hope that you can join us and our special guests for Taiko gathering, grooving, and growing in these community offerings with our GLTC partner kaDON.

WED May 21st:  "Wa no Ichi" Wednesday is a wonderful chance for our GLTC community to connect with Kaoly Asano in person while deepening our understanding of her open source piece and online course "Wa no Ichi" on kaDON.com (all GLTC members have kaDON subscription access). Community Meal Times include a Light Breakfast (provided by GLTC), Lunch Break, and Potluck Dinner. Location for WED 5/21: Pittsfield Union Grange (3337 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48103).

Free Registration for WED 5/21 Sessions (fill out and submit the form below) – Join us when you can! GLTC members and invited community may sign up to attend any or all three Wa no Ichi WED sessions on May 21st (morning, afternoon, evening). NOTE: Registration is free ($150 value) and donations are welcome (Donate to GLTC on our *NEW* Give Lively page) in support of all our programs, including guest artist visits like this one!

Drop-in for lunch or dinner and watch the evening sharing! Members and participant as well as interested friends & family are all welcome to drop in during any of the Community Meal Times or to come watch the Evening session and sharing time (no registration necessary for observers).

THU May 22nd:  Roots of "ELEVEN" is a Great Lakes Taiko Intensive meant for collective members and kaDON community, especially those with a seeded relationship with the piece, such that we can dive deeper with Kaoly to nurture the seeds and grow, rooted in song and spirit! Members are encouraged to attend both 3 hr workshops if possible, and may request song review material. Food/drink will be provided (by kaDON for workshop participants) during the Dinner Gathering. Location for THU 5/22: Riverside Arts Center (76 N. Huron St., Ypsilanti, MI 48197).
GLTC Members may simply sign up for THU 5/22 workshops below. If you are not a GLTC member, please sign up below AND also register through kaDON for THU 5/22: Roots of ELEVEN with Kaoly in MI 2025 (separate registration/fee for non-members).
