We at Maplewood Richmond-Heights Youth Sports would like your input as we try to determine what to do about our fall sports offerings. The survey below should take just a few minutes to complete. Thank you!

Please check the sport your child or children would play this fall. Note: Please fill out an additional questionnaire if your child is A) playing more than 2 sports and B) if you have multiple children whose ages would change your responses to the following questions.

Which of the following best characterizes your feelings about your child participating in sports during the pandemic?

My child will not play youth sports until there is a vaccine.

I have strong reservations about my child playing youth sports at this time.

I'd be open to my child playing provided city and state COVID-19 policies are followed.

My child will definitely play if MRHYS and its affiliated leagues have a season.

N/A because my child will not be playing until there is a vaccine.

Yes. I'd be less likely to sign my child up for a sport if I cannot be there to cheer for him/her.

If there is no official soccer season through the Clayton Rec League (through which we run our 1st-8th grade teams), would you be interested in your child playing supervised soccer with just kids from MRH? (This would likely occur at Deer Creek or Ryan Hummert Park with adult supervision and include informal games similar to the summer Watermelon League.)

If you're a parent who planned to volunteer as a coach, has COVID-19 changed your feelings toward coaching this year? Keep in mind that you will have added responsibilities this year, such as attempting to monitor social distancing between kids and parents and taking other precautions such as wearing masks, etc.

I am less likely to coach this year given the added responsibilities.

I'm willing to coach this year and try my best to adhere to all COVID-19 precautions and safeguards.
