Content:
Aviation and space mode of transportation had one of the greatest impacts to the world. It has changed many nations economical, political and social traditions within a short period of time. It is only 118 years since the Wright flyer made its successful flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina but the frontiers of aviation and space technology continue to expand from earth to deep space exploration. Wright Brothers (Orville Wright) and Neil Armstrong were living at the same time except one flew a 275 kgs fabric flyer while the other flew a gigantic 3,000 tonnes rocket to the moon and returned to earth. The phenomenal growth of the aerospace industries, the rapid expansion of commercial air travel, the tremendous influence of aviation on military concepts and international affairs, all have had inescapable and overwhelming effects on day-to-day living. Malaysian youth need to have an appreciation and awareness of the history, practical effect and future potential of this transportation giant. Through the understanding and application of aeronautical principles by both the present and future generation, our nation will be able to move forward our aviation and space industry under the Malaysian Aerospace Blueprint 2030. Many young Malaysians have already realized the value of a technical aviation education, including flight engineering, manufacturing, maintenance and are well on the way to participation in the aviation and space technology age. In this webinar, the speaker will share his experience as a registered and practising aircraft engineer on what are the younger generation essentials to capitalize on this interesting but challenging aviation and space field in the world of today and tomorrow.

Speaker:
Mr Ricky Liew Chee Leong
Head of Engineering
Corporate Jet MRO
Fellow of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET)
Registered Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia
