Current Constitution language: The Vice-President shall be the chairperson of the Membership Committee and shall; 1) keep and make available an accurate up-to-date list of BEAM members; 2) assist in the recruitment, organizing, development and training of local affiliates; submit a written report at the annual conference and at the end of the term report to the President.         Proposed Amendment to Constitution language added:  The Vice President shall work with the President to submit the annual membership to TABE by November of each year.  The Vice President shall organize the annual fall Membership Drive in conjunction with the Instruction & Professional Development Chair and Public Relations Chair. Current Constitution language: The Secretary shall keep accurate written records of the proceedings of all business meetings of the Association.  These records shall include, but are not limited to minutes, agendas, and correspondence. The Secretary shall preserve all records in a permanent file, conduct Association correspondence, and perform other duties as required by the President.  Keep roll of members present at the meetings.  Carry on any necessary correspondence of the Association.  Notify members of meetings.                                                                                                                                                                             Proposed Amendment to Constitution language added: The Secretary shall preserve all records in a permanent electronic file.  The Secretary is tasked with conducting Association correspondence that inform general membership of BEAM general meetings in conjunction with the Public Relations Chair.  The Secretary shall work in conjunction with the Public Relations Chair to distribute the quarterly newsletter of the Association.
