Secretary (This person will serve on the Executive year term: 2021-2022 and 2022-2023)
Current Constitution language: The Secretary shall keep accurate written records of the proceedings of all business meetings of the Association. These records shall include, but are not limited to minutes, agendas, and correspondence. The Secretary shall preserve all records in a permanent file, conduct Association correspondence, and perform other duties as required by the President. Keep roll of members present at the meetings. Carry on any necessary correspondence of the Association. Notify members of meetings. Proposed Amendment to Constitution language added: The Secretary shall preserve all records in a permanent electronic file. The Secretary is tasked with conducting Association correspondence that inform general membership of BEAM general meetings in conjunction with the Public Relations Chair. The Secretary shall work in conjunction with the Public Relations Chair to distribute the quarterly newsletter of the Association. The Secretary shall perform other duties as required by the President. The Secretary shall ensure that correspondences from the BEAM email accounts are answered in a timely manner. Annual Symposium Responsibilities: The Secretary shall co-chair the Schedule & Program Committee and Communication & Promotion Committee. -----Enter NAME, DISTRICT/ORGANIZATION, and EMAIL of person being nominated.
