Welcome! My name is Kassidy Mickelson. I'm going to highlight the most important things for my classes:
1. A student's grade in my class depends on them being able to show me they are learning the State standards. State standards for each of my classes can be found below:
2. Standard Grading Scale: A=93% A-=90% B+=87% B=83% B-=80% ETC
3. Class Citizenship Scale is based on how often a student demonstrates Respect, Effort and Participation in my class: H = Almost always, S = Consistently, N = Sometimes, U = Rarely
- Respect = I am respectful to self, peers, staff & property
- Effort = I am reaching my highest potential by showing my ability, in a timely manner, within all aspects of class
- Participation = I am engaged in class assignments, discussions, groups, and activities
4. Phones, computers and headphones should be used both respectfully and responsibly in my class
5. Students are responsible for getting their assignments turned in. Students are responsible for using Canvas to find out what work needs to be done if they were absent. I do accept late work and I allow students to retake quizzes up until a deadline I set at the end of each trimester.
6. No food, water is ok, please make sure the bottle can be shut securely to avoid spills around computers.
7. Students are responsible if they damage equipment

10. Students are also expected to follow the classroom expectations I establish. These can be found on Canvas.
11. Students are expected to keep track and work off attendance points in accordance with the school attendance policy. I will include a brief explanation here:
Tardies accumulate 1 point, unexcused absences accumulate 2 points, and if a student has more than 12 points at the end of a trimester, they will receive a U for citizenship. They can make up these points in several different ways for my class, having 5 days in a row without absences or tardies in my class and coming to Claw time with me are the two main ways to reduce points in my class.
