It is such an honour to labour with the Lord in this way. Worship is our response to the revelation we have of our relationship with God, it's our response to what he's done or is going to do, it extends beyond Sunday mornings and a song, and needs to be an integral part of our day to day lives. We have the honour of inviting the congregation and leading them to a place where they can encounter the living God, but we cannot take them to a place where we haven't been before. So with that said, the first and foremost expectation of all our worship team members, is that they cultivate a life of prayer, worship. and intimacy with our Father on their own in the secret place. That they would cultivate a life of surrender and whole hearted discipleship.
As we expand to 2 services, it's important to also be transparent about the worship team's time commitment; which is more than an hour or two on a Sunday.
Not only are our team members expected to put in the time to practice their parts at home, but the following time commitments are also expected when they are scheduled to serve:
Thursday before scheduled service 6:30pm-9:00pm
Sunday from 7:45am-12:30pm
One scheduled time of 30 minutes to pray for the team and other elements of the weekend
