College Essay Writing and College Application Workshop
led by Erica Fabri

This workshop is geared towards high school juniors & seniors who want to use their creative writing skills to stand out during the college application process. Each week will open with a conversation about a different aspect of the college and career process including choosing a major, completing the Common App, navigating financial aid, and exploring numerous scholarship opportunities including full and partial scholarships. Also, receive support writing and revising your college essay, using creative writing prompts to create a dynamic, high quality essay.

Stay Woke: Politics of Poetry  (Thursdays, Sept 17 – Nov 2nd @ 4:30-6:30pm)
Poetry/ Hip-hop Writing Workshop

While everyone is focusing on elections, we're focusing on the issues! How do we share our stories and connect them to the world around us? What issues matter most to you? What do the people aiming for office need to know? This workshop will explore artists who used poetry and hip-hop to paint a picture of social justice and the needs of our communities. From there, we will create our own works of art to impact our world.
