SPFE Year Round Organizing Application
Please complete the following application if you are interested in participating in the SPFE Year Round Organizing program. Interviews will be conducted in early June. The summer program will run from June 20th- August 25th. Participants will work 20 hours a week. Scheduling of these hours is flexible. Participants will also work one day per month in the school year starting in September and concluding in June 2024.

The purpose of this program is to engage newer educators within our district and welcome them into our union. During the summer we will be conducting house visits as well as other member engagement tactics in order to build our union and also hear what our new educators need in our district. During the school year member organizers will help lead a monthly training as well as a social for new educators.  Participants will learn how to have effective 1:1 conversations and learn different layers and aspects of our union's work, including doing in-person house visits. Participants will be paid $30 an hour for non-contractual work. The full description for this position can be found at this link:
