Although many of our competitive student dancers are away during the university holidays, a few of the dancesport subset are Cambridge residents needing practice spaces to keep training & some social dancers also want occasional events. But big spaces are becoming increasingly hard to get, more expensive to hire and also have to be booked well in advance at some venues. So we need to establish which ones are likely to be most useful over the holiday periods and attempt to cover costs better with fewer attendees overall.

Even with an out-of-term £5 per person per 2-hour session price (with no tuition) it requires 8 people to cover each Kelsey Kerridge practice, 11 people for Chesterton gym or Trumpington Sport dance studio and 15 people for Parkside school gym. This is why low numbers during holidays are a problem (and make the equivalent of termly subscriptions very difficult).

Additionally, Parkside has caretaker issues which mean it is only available inside school terms & not when they have exams. So just 4 weeks from the end of June into July and then again from September before uni Michaelmas term. Weekends require 4 hour bookings and hence only work for a bigger event, eg 2 hour DS practice + 2 hour social "tea" dance.

Let's see if we can get enough people to agree on any of the semi-regular DS practice days (NB social dancers are still allowed!) and/or 1 of the combined practice & party event dates. The practice-only slots require a single answer selection. The party date questions let you select several options or none. We'll also need a volunteer DJ to make any party date work - hence the comment box.
