PRESERVE THE HIV CARE SAFETY NET (TBD)
• We must replace any loss of federal HIV funding with local funding to ensure people living with HIV have access to adequate care and services.
SUPPORT CRITICAL HIV SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS ($500k)
• Provide a small cost-of-doing -business and cost-of-living adjustment to HIV organizations to ensure they’re able to maintain crucial services that our communities rely on.
MAINTAIN THE HIV PREVENTION SAFETY NET ($2-3 million)
• Ensure that existing HIV prevention services are fully funded while increasing resources to address disparities.
HOUSING SUBSIDIES FOR PWHA ($3 million)
• Provide 300 additional housing subsidies for people living with HIV.
MENTAL HEALTH FOR LONG TERM SURVIVORS ($1 million)
• Fund additional mental health services and coordination for people aging with HIV.
INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT FOR VULNERABLE PWHA ($1 million)
• Fund intensive case management services for vulnerable members of our community facing acute behavioral health needs who too often lack access to social, mental and health services.
OVERDOSE PREVENTION SITES ($2 million)
• Open and fund the implementation of an overdose prevention site (aka safer consumption site) in San Francisco to prevent fatal overdoses.
