Our beginners class Deutsch 1 is full as of August 21, 2019.
Please join our waitlist if you are committed to taking the class in the fall. We will contact you per email in case a spot becomes available or if we have enough students on the waitlist to warrant a second beginners group.
Please do NOT submit any tuition payments to Language Strides, unless we contact you about it.

This class meets Mondays, September 9 - November 18, 2019 (no class on Veterans' Day, Nov. 11, 2019).
Class time: 6:15 pm - 8:15 pm (includes 10 min. break)
Location: The Good Shepherd Center, Room 221 (4649 Sunnyside Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98103)

Class Description:
Deutsch 1 is designed for the true beginner or someone who has studied German in the past, but needs a fresh start. Targeted levels: A1.1 (CEFR)/Novice Low (ACTFL). Recommended for adults, 16 and older.
Some of the topics covered in this class:
Introducing yourself, your family and friends
Identifying and describing the most common objects in your environment
Talking about your daily schedule, routine activities, and hobbies
Grammar structures include the present tense, word order in statements, questions, and commands,
introduction to the gender and case system.
This course covers the first two chapters in the textbook (Kontakte Introduction and Ch. 1).
