Registration form - Symposium: Active Travel & Technology
The Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development is pleased to invite you to the Active Travel & Technology Symposium, taking place on Wednesday 30 October from 13:30 to 20:30 at the University of Malta campus in Msida.

The symposium is composed of an afternoon session and an evening session. Places will be allocated based on a first-come first-served basis, but priority will be given to those who can attend both sessions.

The afternoon session (13:30 - 18:30) consists of a Keynote address by Prof. Maria Attard explaining "Why active travel?" and an Active Travel workshop (consisting of a guided 30-45 minute group walk or cycle in the area surrounding the university campus, and an interactive group discussion), and includes a complimentary coffee break, and afternoon tea with sandwiches and refreshments between the afternoon and evening session. Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for a walk or cycle.  

The evening session (18:30 - 20:30) consists of a Keynote address by Prof. Adrian Muscat entitled “Light up my way: Current and future technologies that support active travel” and presentations by three PhD students at the Institute for Climate Change and Sustainable Development on their research on the topics of walkability, bicycle sharing and transport automation. Complimentary drinks are offered after the session.
