Coastline Beginner CyberPatriot Virtual CyberCamp 2021 - July 12th - July 16th
Coastline is proud to host a virtual CyberPatriot CyberCamp this summer, from July 12th to July 16th through Zoom. Additional information regarding Zoom will be emailed at a later date, most likely the Friday before the camp.

This camp is OPEN to all students and coaches across the planet!

NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE required. Students will be introduced to the basics of making Windows and Linux computers secure from viruses, malware, and improper local security policies. Students will learn through Zoom sessions and will be able to access training images on NetLabs. We will NOT teach you how to hack; this is about securing computers.

Zoom information will be sent out the Friday before the camp. You will not receive a confirmation email after submitting this form, but as long as you have submitted an RSVP, you will be able to attend the camp!

SCHEDULE: July 12th - July 16th. The session is from 10 AM to 2 PM.
= Mon-Thur: learning about the basics of computer security. All attendees will practice on Windows and Linux virtual images.
= Fri: 4 hour online competition

For the 4 days of training, students will not require a personal laptop or desktop to host the training materials on. We will be hosting the materials on our cloud based infrastructure which can support students using Chromebooks and even tablets with separate keyboards and mice.

HOWEVER! For the final day of the camp - the online mini competition - students MUST use their own laptops or desktops which are capable of virtualization. We CANNOT host the competition images on our cloud due to CyberPatriot's request. Students who do have access to a laptop or desktop that can run virtualized desktops, please request permission from your parents or guardians. We can provide support on how to set up virtualization on your personal computer.

Please email Handrias Fujianto (Fuji) hfujianto@coastline.edu if you have any questions.
