Collective Encounters works with communities across the Liverpool City Region using creativity, and in particular theatre, as a tool for social change. We co-create and co-deliver projects alongside local communities and communities of interest that aim to:
- build confidence, self-esteem, resilience and wellbeing
- explore socio-political issues and the systems within them
- empower, build community and networks
All our activities are free and fully accessible. We reimburse for travel and other expenses, as needed. If the activity is online we will support you to get online by providing connectivity and skills. Our approach to making theatre for social change significantly evolved during Covid-19: we want to make sure everyone is, and remains, safe and that no-one is left behind. To achieve this we will continue to offer a hybrid (online and ‘in the room’) approach to delivering workshops and projects.
