Spec Miata VVT Shutoff Issue Data Gathering

In an effort to work towards fixing the VVT shutoff issue that is plaguing the VVT SMs, I wanted to collect some more data to get a better idea of the total quantity of VVTs that this problem is affecting and to see what kind of percentage of total VVTs being run have either had or have an issue with the shutoff problem. I also want to gather some more information on what people have all tried when working towards resolving the issue, and if they were successful in finding a solution to the issue (understanding that not all cars will be fixed by the same things).

To get the best data that we can, please, all VVT SM car owners respond to this data collection survey. Please respond once per VVT car you have owned. If you are unsure as to the responses to the question as your car is maintained and prepped by a prep shop, please either work with them to answer these questions, or have the prep shop owner/knowledgeable tech fill out the form for you.

Dave Wheeler method (OEM alternator wire moved to starter, new wire ran from killswitch to alternator. OEM wire to battery pulled out of under car harness and ran inside car to killswitch on other side of switch as the new alternator wire, new wire added from battery positive to killswitch on the same side as new alternator wire)

Do you still have the RF Blocked installed and plugged in on the back of the cylinder head? (Mounts on the anodized plate that covers the cap on the drivers side of the head. The cap is where the Cam Angle Sensor would go if it were an NA8) *
