May 11th Climate Canvas and Picnic in the Park
Join us, 350 Seattle, Transit Riders Union, Amazon Employees for Climate Justice, and many others to help gather signatures for I-137, the ballot initiative to fund Seattle’s Social Housing Developer! Please RSVP to receive any updates or changes to this event. Always feel free to reach out to field staff if you have any questions!

Housing is a human right, and a powerful Green New Deal solution. Social housing built by our developer would be to the highest energy efficiency standards known as Passive House. Well-connected, mixed-income and working-class neighborhoods near public transit, rooted by social housing, are key to building a low-carbon and eventually no-carbon city.

We will gather by the Greenlake Community Center at 11am, have a brief volunteer training and a couple speakers from 350 Seattle and AECJ, then split off into groups to gather signatures from Seattle voters that want permanently affordable housing. Meet back at the Community Center at 2pm for a picnic in the park! Food will be provided but feel free to bring snacks if you want!
