FOUNDATIONS aims to faciliate student's knowledge of the history, culture and the community aspect of a dance style in addition to the teaching of dance technique and foundation. This will be taught over a 3-hour dance workshop that includes time for Q&A, video viewing and other materials.

From complete beginners to novice B-Girls

TIME/DATE: 7:15pm-10:15pm, Saturday 27th February
OVERVIEW: This workshop is designed for women to gain a deeper introduction to Breaking (known in popular media as Breakdancing). It is open to women interested in the style of Breaking, including those who are completely new to Breaking, and those who have been Breaking for a few years. This workshop will be both practical and theoretical.

WORKSHOP CONTENT:
The 3-hour workshop aims to cover the following topics:
- Brief history of Breaking
- Cultures and traditions of breaking
- Learning the foundation, developing your style, understanding biting
- Women in Breaking culture
- Strategies for success
