The new one-year Low Residency Master of Arts (MA) degree in Interactive Media Arts (IMA) offers a unique and exciting global graduate school experience.

Students will participate in three site-specific sessions across NYU’s global network at NYU Shanghai (Summer 1), NYU Berlin (January) and NYU New York (Summer 2) complemented by two semesters of online learning in the Fall and Spring. This innovative yet accessible graduate school experience focuses on the understanding and production of interactive media for creative expression, critical engagement and thoughtful participation. A curricular emphasis on context and connectivity will be infused throughout the in-person and online sessions along with a spirit of creativity and community.

We are looking for students who are ambitious, generous, and excited to participate in the co-construction of this new degree. By participating in the program, graduates will be empowered to more fully engage with the interactive media technologies, systems, materials, and actors informing our world today.
