Winnie Foster: A young girl with a heart of adventure, but who has guarded by her protective grandmother.
Angus Tuck: Father of the Tucks; immortal from drinking at the spring. A hard worker determined and protective of his family. Has a great deal of wisdom.
Mae Tuck: Mother of the Tucks; immortal from drinking at the spring. She is a motherly figure with a heart of gold. She just wants her family together and dreams of that safety.
Miles Tuck: Older Brother of the Tucks; quiet and reserved and broken from a hard life. Has many regrets, but strives to do his best.
Jesse Tuck: Younger Brother of the Tuck; Joyful, childish levels of energy. Has a grand sense of adventure.
The Stranger in the Yellow Suit: A strange man who seeks knowledge of the Immortal Spring and the Tucks; a charmer, but who will do what it takes to find the information he wants.
The Constable: A police officer in the town who helps to locate Winnie.
Granny Foster: Grandmother of Winnie; fiercly protective and traditional.
Voices of the Forest: Voices of the Forest who help to tell the story and lead Winnie towards her destiny and to also lead the Tucks. They play many characters throughout the story.
