2021 Student Advisory Board Application
The SVPP Student Advisory Board (SAB) in an undergraduate student Think Tank that assists in the ongoing development and implementation of Dartmouth's Sexual Violence Prevention Project.

SAB Members:
 - Participate in focus groups & program pilots
 - Contribute their own insights & experiences
 - Interview their peers to bring their insights & experiences back to the group                                                  
 - Use Human-Centered Design to develop & test prototypes to help guide implementation              
 - Disseminate information about SVPP to their peers

SAB Members are expected to:
 - participate in a half-day training, prior to working on the board
 - actively participate in the weekly team mtgs & honestly contribute        
 - work 2-4 hours/week (e.g. peer interviews, review materials, respond to surveys, & participate in team mtgs)

SAB Members are compensated for their time and can choose to be paid (as student employment) OR volunteer (receive community service hrs) for contributing to the betterment of the Dartmouth community.
 
Students applying to be on the Student Advisory Board are NOT expected to have any prior knowledge or experience in sexual violence prevention. The board guides implementation of the SVPP. It is intended to be made up of a diverse range of students from all backgrounds, experiences, and beliefs to best represent the ideas and experiences of all Dartmouth students, so we can implement the SVPP in the most effective and student-centered way.

Note: the Student Advisory Board currently meets virtually on Thursdays from 6-7:30pm. Once we resume in-person interactions, the SAB will go back our normal meeting time on Fridays from 3:30-5:30pm.

Why are you interested in working on the SVPP Student Advisory Board? *
Varying student perspectives and experiences are critical for our goal of preventing sexual violence by positively changing campus culture . This board is intentionally staffed with students holding a range of perspectives and experiences to best represent the campus at large.
