Great Jones County Fair Kiddie Beef Show Sign-Up
The Great Jones County Fair Kiddie Beef Show provides young people with an opportunity to participate in the county fair and gain experience in showing livestock. The show will be broken up into age groups as follows:   2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-10. Children and calves from out of county are welcome to attend but must abide by all show rules and regulations.

Time: 12:00 pm 
Location: Livestock Show Ring

Check-in Time: 11:00 am to 11:45 am
Check-in Location: Cattle Barn

Show Rules & Regulations:
  • Children who are of 2 to 10 years old are eligible to participate. (Children 10 years of age must have completed 3rd grade May of this year and are not eligible to participate in 4-H yet). 
  • The child must wear jeans, closed toe shoes/boots, and a shirt.
  • The child will be required to lead the animal by themselves. Ring help will be provided. No other persons allowed in the ring.
  • Calf must have been born after January 1, 2024, and must be a beef animal.
  • Calves will be released after the show. Stalls/area must be cleaned at this time by the show person, parent or guardian. 
  • There will be no premium money and no entry fee.
