CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP), a co-curricular program of California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), offers free after-school and school-based arts programs for youth ages 14-18 in every discipline taught at the Institute.
We invite high school students to apply to the 2024 CAP Photography Lab program at CalArts. The CalArts CAP Photography Lab is a twelve- week program for high school students who are interested in learning about photography. This class is open to students of all skill levels and no prior knowledge is required. All equipment and other materials will be provided. Classes are taught on campus by faculty from CalArts School of Art department alongside current CalArts students. The program ends with an exhibit of the students' work in May 2024!
Transportation is available from designated pick up locations. Locations TBA.
Dates: February 17, 2024 - May 11, 2024.
When: Saturday, 1pm-5pm
Class Location: CalArts campus - Photo lab/Darkroom
*Returning advance students will have the opportunity to work with color film.
