VCHS Remote Learning Contract
Dear Parents,

You and your child have requested participation in remote learning for the 2nd semester at Vandalia Community High School due to factors resulting from the COVID - 19 pandemic.

The purpose of Remote Learning is to allow any parent the right to keep their student home in a safe environment from other students that may contact COVID 19 due to possible or preexisting medical conditions. The remote learning student will follow the same semester timelines as the traditional in-person version of the course, with progress due on a daily or weekly basis. However, students are to complete the course requirements independently within those timelines. Because of the nature of online courses, the teacher, student, and parents must agree to commit the time and energy needed to complete it successfully. There are set criteria for their classes that must be met for students to receive credit.

* Student will log into daily Google Classroom and Teacherease
* Student will complete all assigned activities based on the time frame established by the classroom teacher.
* Student will check school email on a regular basis and maintain an open line of communication with staff via email.
* Student will complete all educational activities to the best of their ability; as they would in the classroom setting
* Student will need to be receptive to online collaboration with peers during group projects/activities
* Student will use technology appropriately and maintain a collaborative, cooperative mindset while working with staff and peers virtually.
