Hollywood Fringe Festival 2022 Scholarship Application
Created in 2016, the Fringe Scholarships Program exists to expand and diversify the pool of artists producing work at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. The inaugural program offered free registrations to five Hollywood Fringe productions, and the 2017 Fringe Scholarships program expanded thanks to a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts.

This year each scholarship includes:
- Free registration for one Hollywood Fringe production ($300 value)
- A $550 stipend towards venue and production costs
- A Fringe mentor—an experienced Hollywood Fringe participant who can help guide you through the Fringe process, attend events with you and more
- Marketing and networking opportunities as a member of the Fringe community

Please read the following carefully before beginning application:

---->Fringe Scholarships are available to first-time Hollywood Fringe producers who contribute to the ethnic, cultural, racial, disability, D/deaf, and the LGBTQ+ diversity of the Fringe community.

---->For this year only, due to COVID-19, scholarship recipients and show cast/crew must reside in southern CA (south of Fresno)

---->All scholarship recipients will be required to self-produce their project and will be held responsible for all liability and risk associated with their own project.

---->All scholarship recipients must produce at least three (3) live performances from a venue in the Hollywood Fringe zone during the Festival

---->In order to apply, please create a project page on hollywoodfringe.org for the 2022 festival. If you do not receive a scholarship, you will not have to complete the registration process.

----> The Hollywood Fringe Scholarship Program is meant for first-time Hollywood Fringe Production teams as an introduction to the Festival. Team members can have participated as actors or designers, but should not have participated as a producer at the Hollywood Fringe previously. Your cast and crew should be a reflection of your application- choosing cast and crew members from the communities your story is about.

----->Please read the full application before beginning to answer the questions.

---->Many participants have found it to be easier to finish the full application in a word/google document and copy/paste the answers into the form after completing all questions.

---->Attend our informational session on Monday, December 13 at 6:30 pm PST: https://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/7289 or watch the recording available after

Scholarship Extension
We are happy to announce the extension of the application deadline for scholarships to Monday, February 14, 2022 at 11:59pm.

We know how hard it is to plan ahead, and make choices for participation in anything right now. We’ve heard the call for extensions, especially so that participants can make the decision to apply after the release of our own COVID safety guidelines.

Our COVID safety guidelines will drop Monday, January 31st, giving each participant enough time to make a decision on whether the Fringe is right for them this year or not before the new scholarship deadline. This program is a tenet of the Fringe community, and to provide ample information for this opportunity is paramount.
