VENUE: The walk will commence from the Gazebo, Central Block

TIME: 7 AM onwards

EVENT DESCRIPTION: 

Avian Allies, the official birders club of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in collaboration with the Department of Languages, School of Arts and Humanities is conducting “Campus Bird Count 2025: From Data to Deliberation” on 15th Feb 2025 as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count. Mr Kedar Champhekar, GBCC Regional Coordinator will be guiding us on this walk. 

The session is open to all students, faculty, staff members of CHRIST University as well as bird enthusiasts from all over Maharashtra. It is mandatory to fill in the registration form.

EVENT OBJECTIVES:
This event will enable participants to:

  • Appreciate the rich, local avian diversity on campus
  • Observe and study bird habitat and behaviour
  • Contribute to citizen science with the use of eBird App
