🌀 In this virtual poetry workshop we will dream together what home place could look like for us individually and collectively. What are our conceptions of home? Are they people, places, things? Does home only exist in the material world? How do we expand our definition of home and dream up home places for ourselves that reflect our deepest longings and needs? In commitment to WITH(IN).DIGITAL's mission of creating a Black digital respite, this workshop prioritizes Black attendees. No poetry experience is necessary.

Come ready to be in the digital respite and generate ideas, chat with others, and experience the work of Black poets on topics exploring homeplace, rest, and digitality. ❇️ What you'll need:

A desire to be in a Black-centered creative space
Internet connection
Something to write with or on

💭 Workshop Expectations:

No prior reading or prep is required. During the workshop, we will share three poems followed by short analyses and group discussion.

💕 There will also be a short, optional time of sharing at the end!
