GENERAL INFORMATION

Dear Parents
Thank you for your interest in Camp Transition ©  - the 3 camps that point children to the "How?" moreso than the 'What " of secondary school and beyond.

Please read the details outlined in the form and then answer all questions as accurately as possible.
 
All information provided in the registration form will be held as confidential

DATES: Monday 22 - Friday 26 AUGUST 2022
TIMES: 9.00 AM - 3.00 PM
VENUE: The St Michael School except on WEDNESDAY 24 AUGUST 2022 which would be ONLINE 

FEES: $160.00 per camper
Payment can be made online using the following information 1st pay (246)2654598

All cheques should be written to SMOOTH TRANSITIONS. A $60.00 penalty will be charged to the signatory of the cheque if it is returned by the Bank.
NO DEDUCTIONS will be made for days absent. ALL PAYMENTS MADE ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE.
 
CAMPERS' PACKAGE
All campers will receive a bag containing a Camp Transition customized display folder with relevant resource material, other useful goodies and a non -transferable voucher for free counselling sessions expiring on December 31, 2022.  
A free Empowerment Workshop will be held for all parents of the campers on Wednesday 31 August 2022.

REGISTRATION
Campers will be secured a space when official registration forms and full payment are received  
Registration closes at 11.59 p.m. on  18th August 2022.

PERSONAL ATTIRE:
Campers will be required to wear appropriate, modest clothing at all times

CONDUCT RULES:
Appropriate conduct- RESPECT FOR SELF AND OTHERS -  is expected at all times.

Campers are expected to be in attendance every day for the time allotted

Campers are expected to participate in all activities

NOT PERMITTED:
Campers are not to be engaged with cell phone usage, electronic toys or games, during sessions unless requested by the facilitator/s.
The following are grounds for expulsion from Camp: use of foul language, any form of harassment; (including verbal, cyber and/or emotional), improper dress attire, non-adherence to rules  or instructions, discrimination of any kind and/or any other behaviour deemed inappropriate or unacceptable by the Director.

DEVICES WITH CAMERAS (For WEDNESDAY 24 AUGUST 2022 ONLY)
All campers must have fully functioning devices with microphones and cameras. All cameras MUST be TURNED ON at ALL times during sessions  unless otherwise instructed by the Camp Director or staff member . FAILURE TO HAVE CAMERAS ON COULD RESULT IN THE CAMPER BEING REMOVED FROM THE SESSION

Camp Transition© is the umbrella title for three camps that are held annually to empower our students throughout their journey at secondary school and prepare them successfully for options beyond.

JUNIOR CAMP :Transitioning to secondary school: 

Target group: those children who have just completed the Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examination and are starting secondary school in September 

INTERMEDIATE CAMP: Fresh Start Focus

Target group: those children who have just completed first form at secondary school but who are still unsettled and uncertain about how to  make it successfully in the next year.

SENIOR CAMP: Career Success Summer Camp: 

Target group: teenagers only (13-19 years) who are in 4th - 6th form or who are at tertiary institutions. 

This camp explores: options beyond CSEC & CAPE, the journey from application to graduation at college/ university, preparing to study abroad, exploring scholarship opportunities, mastering common challenges to student success at tertiary level , career assessment and career planning
