Documentary Australia Foundation runs a series of digital workshops focused on building the capacity of independent filmmakers. Together with our popular Impact and Fundraising 101, these workshops continue to expand and develop filmmakers’ knowledge on four key areas: Impact; Evaluation; Budgets and Finance; and Crowdfunding.

- Impact and Fundraising 101: Our most popular and long-running workshop introduces filmmakers to key impact frameworks, social engagement concepts and fundraising strategies. This 3 session workshop (run over two non-consecutive days) includes the opportunity for a filmmaker to workshop their project with our CEO, Mitzi Goldman and Clara Williams Roldan, Impact Director. The next of this series is scheduled for mid-March 2022.

- Advanced Impact: For filmmakers who have completed DAF's  Impact and Fundraising 101, this full-day workshop takes a deep dive into impact models and social engagement strategies to take your  project's impact campaign to the next level.

- Documentary Evidence: If you care about impact, you have to care about evaluation! This workshops is run over two days and allows filmmakers to explore the fundamentals of evaluating their impact campaigns, whilst beginning to work on their own evaluation plan.

- Documentary Budgets and Finance: This full-day workshop guides filmmaker through the most important aspects of their finance plans, budgets, and understanding their management of cashflow.

- Communications and Crowdfunding: Let's find your tribe! Effective communications and community development are at the core of a successful crowdfunding campaign. Join us for a half-day workshop to learn how you can develop a unique base of supporters to amplify your fundraising efforts.
