Psoriasis Documentary
EPISODE DESCRIPTION:
Conde Nast Entertainment and SELF are producing a documentary film that brings the truth forward about psoriasis: from those who treat it, fight it, and live it every day.

Most people think of psoriasis as purely a skin condition, but the causes and treatments go so much deeper than that. For most people with psoriasis, stress is a primary factor in their flare-ups. Once they’re in a flare-up, the stress and anxiety associated with the discomfort and the urge to cover it up can make things even worse. The cycle seems to go on and on. In this documentary, we’ll talk to patients and experts about how psoriasis and our mental health are intimately connected in a way that most people would never expect. We’ll watch how this plays out in various aspects of their life and their treatment, from getting flare-ups when they’re stressed at work, to how the stigma affects their confidence, relationships, mental health, and more.

THE JOURNEY:
We're presenting the facts, told through real people and real stories. This series will be an engaging and reliable way to understand the truth behind conditions like Psoriasis, as well as the best ways to deal with them. In each episode, we’re taking a deeper dive into a health condition you've probably heard about, but don't really know much about—highlighting real patients, real experts, and real data.

We'll take a journey to accurately deconstruct and explain important health issues--looking at the patients, caregivers and researchers who are living with, treating and researching treatments that promise to help patients worldwide. And the stakes are high because our stories are real.
