Saturday, June 11th 8:30 AM - 1 PM

Please read through the following details and answer the survey questions to prepare for the workshop.

Everything you need to know in the transition from school rowing!

Two of New Zealand's top club coaches, Robbie Manson & Nick Dawe, will cover the following topics:

Club Rowing: Why you should consider continuing to row! What is the season like? What makes it different or more fun than school rowing? What are the goals?

Elite Rowing: Robbie Manson will discuss what it takes at the highest levels of rowing. What does it take to become an elite level rower? What does that process look like and what are the commitments?

On-Water Skill: Robbie & Nick will take you through a couple skills that you can apply immediately to your training. This will include a brief on water session to apply the concepts immediately.

American University Recruiting: Are you interested in going to the USA for university? If so, Nick is a former university Division 1 NCAA university lead recruiter and will provide an in-depth presentation on the process, requirements, and things to consider about being recruited to row in the USA.

Please complete the following survey and a schedule with details will be sent to you in the week leading up to the event. There is no cost to attend. This is a chance for Robbie and Nick to give back to the region and help Auckland and New Zealand's future talent be successful.

The WERCshop will be divided into two sections: 1) Club rowing, elite rowing, & on-water skill; 2) American University Recruiting. You may attend one or both.

Club Rowing, Elite Rowing, and On-Water Skills are for athletes only. Parents are welcome to attend the recruiting presentation, but requested that the athletes be allowed to ask questions before any parents do. The recruiting presentation will be the last discussion so those not interested in American Universities may leave after the on-water session if they wish.
