Santa Barbara County State Senate and Assembly Straw Poll
Greetings! This is an independent, non party/campaign-funded anonymous straw poll, gathering the educated votes of as many individuals in the Santa Barbara area as possible. The purposes of this poll are to inspire individuals to research often overlooked, but ever-so crucial State Legislative races, and to gather information regarding the ideological (not partisan) leans of our local area. 

As an educated straw poll, this survey requires that you view the websites of the candidates listed (with exception to presidential candidates), which can be found by their names, and do some light research before casting this digital ballot. 

The results will be released to local news agencies by August 1st, as well as posted on the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and SLO Reddit groups.

Otherwise, this poll would be unnecessary- one could simply look at this area's public voter registration data and see the same overall statistics.
