All of the possible tracks need to Include the following elements.

• Summary of findings

• Including a description of the problem, and the methods used to complete data collection

• Clear connection to how government can help address the problem

• Summary of the data collected

• Visual representation of data

• Map or graphic format

• What you think is an appropriate course of action 

• Must include exact government agency or level of government with an explanation of why

• A realistic proposed course of action that student could hypothetically do 

For the Share out

Have students share what their proposed course of action is and why they decided to take that specific route. In their share out they should include answers to the following questions:

1. Identify what form of civic action you have  chosen to take.  

2. Describe the  course of action and how it will encourage change.

3. Explain why you  feel this is the most effective course of action.

4. What level of government does this engage and explain to the degree  you feel that this action is the most appropriate to achieve the results you  want?
