Facilities Master Plan Upgrade -- Core Working Group

Aloha Staff/Families – Kualapuu School has been around for about 55 years now.  The school, community, and students have changed, and we would like to gather input about how we may want to shape our school facilities to meet our students and community needs in the next 5, 10, and 20 years.

We are looking to create a core working group of 8-12 staff, parents, and community members who would like to contribute to a facilities master plan upgrade.  We hope to have a design plan and a possible layout of the future Kualapuu School campus so that we can use this plan to generate funding and resources for our facilities upgrade.

The core groups will be expected to meet about 3-5 times, for about 1-2 hours each meeting, via Zoom or face to face, either after school or on weekends.  There will be one meeting that will be about 3-4 hours so the group can “play” architect or designer with our consultants.  The consulting group contracted for this project is G70, a Hawaii based architect company that also has experience in developing other facilities and projects on Molokai.  These meeting will be expected to run through February - May 2023.

If you would like to be a part of this project please complete the information in the google form. Please reply by Monday, February 27th, 2023.

If you have questions, please contact Lydia Trinidad, Principal via email at Lydia_Trinidad@kualapuu.k12.hi.us, or call the school at 808-567-6900.
