REGENTS PARTICIPATION SURVEY
Please provide your response to this form by Friday, April 30.  ONLY students who are scheduled to take, OR are currently taking a course that ends in the Regents exam for Earth Science, Living Environment (Biology), Algebra 1 and/or English (11th grade) must complete this survey.  

To clarify some questions about the four Regents exams offered this year:
- Students are NOT required to sit for any Regents exam;
- All students who are passing the course corresponding to the Regents exam are eligible to receive a Regents Exemption on their transcript, WHETHER OR NOT they take the exam.  However, if you take the exam, you WILL receive an actual NUMERICAL score recorded on your transcript UNLESS you notify administration and request the EXEMPTION recorded instead of the numerical score.
- Grades will be posted on the portal approximately 2 days after the exam date.  Students will have 3-5 days after posting to decide if they want to keep the grade or request an exemption.
- A change in the decision on whether or not to take the exam can be made up to a week before the exam date.  
- Students who are not passing the corresponding course can still sit for the Regents exam, but they will NOT be granted an exemption for the Regents.  The student will receive the actual numerical Regents score recorded on their transcript.
- A student who once failed the Regents and is now retaking it, must be passing (or have once passed) the corresponding course AND be scheduled to retake the exam this June.  These students will also be granted an exemption ONLY if they passed the corresponding course.
- REMOTE STUDENTS:  If you are fully remote and would like to take a Regents exam, please submit this survey so that we can plan for your seating on the day of the Regents.  (NOTE: Failure to respond with this survey may delay your placement on the day of the Regents exam.)
- A student may STILL receive a Regents Diploma OR an Advanced Regents Diploma upon graduation even though they have Exemptions for one or more of their Regents scores.
