ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY

By participating in the Earth Week Kick-Off ("Event") organized by Good Projects, Inc., I acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

Assumption of Risk: I understand that participation in the Event involves certain risks (including, but not limited to, physical injury, mental injury, emotional distress, trauma, death, contact with other participants, equipment failure, inadequate safety measures, and the effects of weather including extreme temperature and humidity). These risks may arise from my own actions or inactions, as well as the actions, inactions, or negligence of others, or the condition of the facilities or equipment. I acknowledge that there may be other risks not known to me or not readily foreseeable at this time. I fully accept and assume all such risks and all responsibility for losses, costs, and damages I incur as a result of my participation in the Event.
Medical Release: I hereby grant permission for any government or tournament official or a person associated with the Event to make decisions concerning medical care and transportation for me if I am unable to do so for myself. I agree to bear the full cost of any such treatment and transportation.
Waiver of Liability: I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Good Projects, Inc. or the Department of Parks and Recreation, its respective administrators, directors, agents, officers, members, volunteers, and employees, other participants, any sponsors, advertisers, and, if applicable, owners and lessors of premises on which the Event takes place (each considered one of the "Releasees" herein) from all liability to me, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any loss or damages, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to my person or property or resulting in my death, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, while I am participating in the Event.
Compliance with Terms and Rules: I agree to comply with the rules of the Event including but not limited to competition rules, social behavior, and cooperation with Event officials. Failure to comply may result in my disqualification from the Event.
Photographic Release: I understand that during the Event, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for any legitimate purpose by the Event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and assigns.
Severability: If any provision of this waiver shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this waiver and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
