Essex 2020 - Chelmsford Hub - Collaboration Events
Hello!  Thanks for getting involved in the Chelmsford Hub for Essex 2020.  This form is for you to complete if:
1) You'd like to pitch at one of the 2 Collaboration Events
2) You'd like to provide contact details of someone you think should be invited

These events are a key part of Chelmsford's contribution to Essex 2020, aimed at allowing those with ideas to build new connections and get support to develop and refine their ideas.  The events are designed to be cross - sector, with a strong focus on engaging businesses and key strategic partners with those initiating and developing events and projects focused aligned to the Essex 2020 objectives.

In Chelmsford, there are 2 specific aims:
1) To celebrate Chelmsford’s past and future heritage in science, engineering and innovation in new and creative ways, supporting the development of Chelmsford’s Cultural Identity
2) To provide skills development and/or new career pathways in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) to Chelmsford Residents, especially those nurturing youthful talent.

These in turn are the themes for the two planned Collaborative Events so please ensure that if you are applying to pitch, your idea fits under the relevant theme for the day.  Please also bear in mind the themes when you suggest invitees- we hope for a diverse blend of relevant skills and subject matter experience in the audience in order to give  rich and impactful experience for all.

The dates of the events are:
1) 25th September  - 6.30 to 9pm - focused on the theme "A heritage of science, engineering and innovation - building our Cultural Identity"
2) 23rd October - 12-2.30pm focused on the theme  "Skills development and new pathways in STEAM (Science, Technology. Engineering, Arts & Maths)"

If you are requesting a slot to pitch, we aim to finalise the list a week in advance of the respective event (ie 18th September and 16th October respectively).  The order of pitches will be decided at random at that point and we'll let you know if you have a slot, and the expected start time for your pitch.  You'll also be sent a simple guide to support you to prepare but please bear in mind this is an informal and relaxed event designed to be suitable for all levels of pitching experience.

The collaborative events will be supported and facilitated by Nikki Wilson who many of you will have met at our regular Chelmsford Hub meetups.  If you have any questions about the events or the form, or there's anything we can do to make it easier for you to pitch, or for you or guests to attend the events, please e mail essex2020@ignitechelmsford.org.uk
