For the Lecture Series: We are happy to have engaged Prof. David Mason again for the remaining lectures of June.
We will be focusing on "Understanding Korea's Rich History & Culture from the Perspective of a Western Culture Expert ".

Intro:
To give all participants a good overview of the history and characteristics of Korean Neo-Confucianism – what it believes, history of the role it has played, the people on Korean money; with photos of the nine new "Seowon" academies as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites. This will be very interesting for everyone to understand the important Joseon Dynasty era of Korea.

Presentation on Great Master Wonhyo and Great Master Uisang, Close Friends and Favorite Korean Monks by Professor David A. Mason
Intro:
To give the participants a good overview of the international status of and opinion about Korea’s cultural heros, Great Master Wonhyo and Great Master Uisang, Close Friends and Favorite Korean Monks.
About the Lecturer:
Professor Mason served five years as a consultant for the national government’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, developing programs to boost the world’s attraction to visit Korea. He was even appointed as the Honorary Ambassador of the Baekdu-daegan Mountain-Range. He has served as a VIP tour-guide, Lecturer and author on Korea’s traditional cultural sites.
