APPLICATIONs for Participating in the World Heritage Day 5th May 2020 Online Conference
Are you an enthusiast of Africa World Heritage? If yes, then this is an Opportunity for you.
Africa World Heritage Day (AWHD) is an opportunity for people around the world to celebrate one of Africa’s most precious resources: its irreplaceable cultural and natural heritage.  The main AWHD celebrations will comprise a social media campaign,  #MyAfricanHeritage, #ShareOurHeritage from 25th of April to the 5th of May, and a webinar (online seminar) on the 5th of May.

NB: Applications Will remains open to allow applicants submit your articles until the 4th May 2020

Participants will be required to tag the influencer accounts; @FarajaAfricaFdn and @African_WH_Fund on both Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

This application portal will help us capture your details for more engagements and invite to the meeting id selected. Hence, the Campaign will be in the following phases;

1. Knowledge mobilization, Application Ongoing
2. Content formulation: 25th- 26th April 17 2020
3. Social Media Campaign 27th – 4th May 2020
5. Online Conference (Webinar) 5th May 2020

Deadline for Applications is 25th April 2020 at 12.00 noon... Campaigns are however meant to be ongoing.

The social media campaign (videos, articles, quotes and any other content) from participants will be will answer any of thematic questions;

a) What does AWHD (5th of May) mean to you and your community?
b) How has the AWHD been celebrated by the youth in your community in the past years?
c) How has the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic impacted your community’s way of life and livelihoods?
d) How has COVID-19 pandemic affected heritage-related business or organization in and around World Heritage in your community?
e) What innovative approaches can be adopted by various stakeholders (youth, site managers, policymakers, local communities) in response to the effects of COVID-19 pandemic to safeguard and promote African World Heritage?
f) How can the general public be involved in celebrating AWHD while staying at home to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus?
