This session focuses on the role of language diversity in the multilingual/multicultural classroom. It addresses the benefits and constraints of the use of an additional language in teaching and learning in higher education. We will consider the impact of classroom language when taking into account the diversity of students’ and teachers’ first languages and backgrounds.
