The Every Student Succeeds Act requires that each Title I School hold an annual Title I meeting for the purpose of: informing families of your schools participation in Title I, explaining the requirements of Title I, and explaining the the rights of parents/families to be involved.

What does it mean to be a Title I School?
+Funding provided by the federal government for academically at-risk students.
+PHJH is a School Wide Title I school.
+Title I money is provided to East Allen County Schools and then divided to each Title I school based on the percentage of students eligible for Free or Reduced lunch.
+In EACS, only students/schools that serve K-8th grade.

Salaries for 3 full time RtI Specialists (2- Academic & 1-Behavior), 1 Family Group Specialist, and 4.5 full time TAS (Targeted Assisted Specialist) paraprofessionals.

All students qualify for Title I services at PHJH; however, some students receive more support than others.
Ranked as most at risk on a rank order sheet based on scores the student has attained on the following assessments:

School-Parent Compact
The school-parent compact is used to connect home and school by providing expectations for all stakeholders. The compact provides a clear understanding of the roles of the student, parent and teacher.

A copy of the School Parent Compact is located on our schools website. The compact is also usually given out during the school year at parent teacher conferences, back to school night and also a copy is sent home with students to return with parent signatures.

A copy of the signed compact is held in the school office.
