This hike is the brainchild of our Crew, dreamt up during our 2022 backpacking formal.  Dress in a color of the rainbow and then join your friends.  The trick is, everyone gets to hike in the order of their rainbow color!  Should be a lot of fun and a great picture opportunity.  Grab some friends (everyone is welcome) and get ready for a colorful time!

WHEN:  Saturday, June 3

MEETING TIME/LOCATION:  @ St. James at 10:55 am OR @Dunkin' in Morganton, GA at 1:00 pm (8200 Appalachian Hwy, Mineral Bluff, GA  30559)

HIKING DETAIL:  After collecting at the Dunkin' in Morganton, we will be carpooling to the end of forest service road 816: “34.7396010,-84.1708256.”  The hike is 2 miles round trip and includes the longest swinging bridge east of the Mississippi.  We will be hiking along the Benton MacKaye Trail.

END OF HIKE:
After the hike, we will head to MooBears Ice Cream Shop @ 678 E Main St, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.  Hikers can be picked up there or request a ride back to Atlanta.

COST:
There is no cost for the event, but please bring money for ice cream and treats in Blue Ridge.

WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring your hiking essentials and water.  Remember to dress in a color of the rainbow.  And, be sure to bring your pocket money for treats in Blue Ridge.

This is a great trip to bring a friend along!  Just ask them to sign up!
