Empowered Youth 10 Pins Recruitment Event

We are currently recruiting for new members! We would love to have you join us for our End of Year Celebration & Recruitment at 10 Pins in Franklin on Sunday May 5th. This is a very casual and fun day to meet current members of the coalition and learn more about Empowered Youth. We will be providing FREE duck pin bowling and FREE pizza for those who attend. 

We would love to have you! Please RSVP below. Even if you can't attend the event, we would love to have you as part of our team. Fill out the information and we will keep you updated on meeting information.

Here is a little information about who we are/what we do:

Empowered Youth is made up of high school students across Johnson County and focuses on bringing awareness to issues around mental health, youth vaping, and underage alcohol use. Students receive training in leadership and advocacy, plan and execute strategies and activities, and receive volunteer hours and references.

Last year we:
- created messaging and videos for Red Ribbon Week
-hosted two holiday movie events at The Artcraft Theatre
-conducted Tobacco Store Audits for the state of Indiana
-recorded positive messaging for local radio and Spotify
-supported substance free post proms
-provided schools with educational messaging
-participated in leadership and advocacy training
-trained in youth suicide prevention training
-advocated for youth suicide prevention training in local schools
-created a positive Mental Health campaign including distributing wristbands to every student in Johnson County high schools

We would love to have you as part of our team! Meetings for next school year will start in September and will take place on Zoom.
