ECF Working Groups - Volunteer Application 2024
The Edinburgh Climate Festival Festival would not be possible without its amazing volunteers, so thank you so much for showing interest in joining our brilliant team! Before we get started we have a few important questions that will help us ensure everything can run smoothly moving forward.

A few details about this year's Edinburgh Climate Festival:

Festival Address: The Meadows - Park, Edinburgh, EH9 1ND
Opening Times: Saturday 29th June: 12-8pm.
(Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.)

You must be age 16 or over to volunteer.

Each Volunteer will be a part of one of the following teams, working alongside a group leader and fulfilling tasks relating to the responsibilities of their respective group. The working teams are as follows:

Communications Team:

Responsibilities can include assisting with event advertisement & promotion, leaflet distribution, aiding with press releases, posters and social media content creation.

Activities & Stalls:

The responsibilities of this team consists of contacting businesses, organisations and community groups, negotiating with stallholders, scheduling and organizing activities. These can be relating to speeches, workshops, music, climate activism and entertainment, among others.

Logistics:

This group will focus heavily on liaising with the City of Edinburgh Council. Ensuring all licenses are covered regarding various aspects from stalls, to food, on site location, accessibility, toilet access, etc.

Admin:

We have one available position to assist with general admin duties. Responsibilities can vary and will be linked to the general organisation of the project. Fundraising skills here would be extremely welcomed. 

Volunteer Coordinator:
We are looking for a Volunteer with great management skills to assist us with this year's edition of Edinburgh Climate Festival If you work well within a team, and would like to gain more experience within a climate related field, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. (12h per week)


* Please note you can only register for one of these and we expect a minimum commitment of 7 hours a week (there is some flexibility to discuss availability and hours). These volunteering positions will run from January until first week of July. ELREC volunteers can claim up to £9 per day in travel & food expenses.
