Make-A-Thon is an annual, weekend-long innovation competition for NC State students, who work in teams to create solutions to sustainability challenges facing campus or the community. The 2023 Make-A-Thon will be held the final weekend in January, and we are recruiting mentors and judges to help with this event.
Be a Judge: Judging will be in person on Sunday, January 29. The estimated time involved is 2 hours. Each judge will be provided with access to an online portal which will randomly assign you a subset of teams to review. Teams will pitch their solutions to you science-fair style.
Be a Mentor: Mentoring will occur virtually (via Zoom) or in person on Saturday, January 28, according to your schedule. The time commitment is 1-2 hours (or more if you like). We will advertise your availability and expertise for student teams as they build their ideas.
