The Newark City School District is seeking community input on building name ideas for the former State Farm building, a multi-use education facility. We would like to introduce the building's new name prior to the start of the 2024-25 school year.
The district purchased the building in 2021 using funds from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds.
Since the purchase of the building, the district has used the space for professional development and meeting spaces and has leased a portion of the building to OSU-Newark and COTC. In January of this year, NCS Digital moved into its newly renovated space, and the district's preschool program is expected to move into its space in Fall 2024. NCS has also announced a partnership with Junior Achievement of Central Ohio to bring BizTown to the building as well.
